Android auto - Deezer problem. No last song at the begining.

the problem started about 3 weeks ago and still hasnt been fixed.

in the past when I got into my car and my phone connected the touch screen of my car, android auto started automatically via wi-fi, left half of the screen showed “google map” right half used to show the last song I listened.

now right half shows a black screen. passive “play and forward buttons” and writes

Deezer,

Touch to open.

when I touch, it goes to main page of deezer which looks like as if it is on my mobile phone. maybe the new gui makes that problem.

check the main page of youtube music at Android auto on screen. in the past yt music and deezer main pages were similar.

this is new gui of deezer on screen:

when I have the blank-black screen, I open deezer from my mobile phone and last song info comes to the screen immdiately. so I can understand that either deezer doesnt give that info to AA or AA isnt able to run deezer at the start up.

by the way I have tried lots of things.

delete and reinstall deezer. log in again. restart my mobile phone. delete my phone on touch screen and reconnect. turn the car screen to factory default etc.. it rarely work properly. but no problem at youtube music

my car is: 2023 ford focus active with 12.3 screen software sync4

For now it's in Beta version.

The fix is in v8.0.30.4

is everyone on Android Auto 13.4.6450 (released on January 3, 2025), or a different version?

yours is newer.. but still you have the issue.. no change then.

I didn’t say anywhere that I still have the issue. That’s why i asked what version everyone was on, as I am on 13.4, which I believe is the redesigned media player, and I’m not having any problems.

Sorry for misunderstanding. Hope we will get 13.4 soon n see what happens.

I said youtube music has the same issue on screen. So problem is most like from AA. It isnt able to get info from music apps. Wondering about spotify.

If they change the place of data source in the aa software, either they must tell that or music platforms should find.

There is no update for me yet (The Netherlands, Europe).

Are there Deezer users that have other music streaming services besides Deezer and are they having the same issues? I only have Deezer, so I can’t check.

Pocketcasts works with last played and progress displayed on android auto.

last deezer update hasnt fixed the issue.

I think we must see an update from AA too

if I dont remove-close deezer completely and the app is running at backround, there is no problem. everytime I get into my car Aa starts auto, as connected it shows last song info.

in the past it used to get the info in any way. maybe Aa cant read cache memory of the deezer app. and cant get the song info etc..

today I connected my phone with usb cable, no change.. so speed or wifi or else dont cause the problem. problem is one of the apps, deezer or AA.

(yesterday I also wanted to downgrade apps to find out the problem but when I downgraded deezer, AA didnt see it as a default and compitable app for AA.. When I wanted to downgrade AA, android didnt allow it because Aa is always in phone and when there is a newer version, it isnt allowed to install older one.)

I feel something with the cache data or AA accessing updated data must be the problem. I still have the same issue, but also, none of my playlist will update. Even if I update a playlist on my phone and refresh, Android Auto will play a previous version of the playlist, even if those songs no longer exist on it.

today I tried my wife’s phone poco x5 with andr 14. same issue. if the last song stays on phone it starts auto, if not, a blank window, no deezer connection. here are the photos.

I never allow an app stay at backround, always tap bottom square button of the phone and clean-remove all apps used recently.. although that, AA used to take the last song info and I could play the song
