Hello, please see attached the issue I am having. My housemate and I both have deezer, we have the family plan and she is currently casting to her speaker from her phone and I can stop/start etc the playlist from my phone. How do I turn this off? I don't want us to have access to each other's music in this way.

Hi @amelie.grech !

Using a Deezer Family  on bedroom speakers via your phone is for simultaneous streaming across different devices within the household.

Managing Simultaneous Listening
With a Family account, you can stream on up to 6 devices simultaneously.
To avoid "someone else is listening" errors, ensure each user in the house is logged in with their own unique profile/credentials.

If another family member is using the same main account, the music may stop when they start playing. To fix this, ensure every family member has their own independent profile within the Family Plan to prevent profile switching issues.

If the speaker is linked as a device you can remove device from Deezer account .

Accessing someone else’s device without permission is a serious violation of privacy and, in many places, the law. Modern devices contain sensitive personal information such as messages, photos, financial data, and accounts, so unauthorized access can lead to identity theft, fraud, or data loss. Ethical cybersecurity practices emphasize the importance of consent, strong authentication, and responsible use of technology.
