why do I get suggested songs in my playlists on Deezer

I have noticed songs in my playlist I did not add. If I go to the list I have the option that Deezer should not suggest this song. There should be an option to disable suggestions for my playlists

Hi there @Souter83

We'll need more info to understand what's happening on your side.

Deezer doesn't add or suggest tracks to your personal and created playlists. Perhaps you want to double-check no one else is using your credentials and editing the playlists.

But if you're referring to suggestions when the playlist ends, let us know as well, with the device you're using :thumbsup_tone2:

I get random songs on a playlist that is public. My wife listens to the same playlist but does not add songs. I can sort the playlist according to recently added and the song playing is not part of the playlist. It thus seems as if I am getting recommended tracks in my playlist. When I click on the hamburger bar in the now playing window to see the song order the random song is in the list. I can select the option - do not recommend. The song then is removed. The playlists that are not public do not have this problem. This playlist is public so that I can share it with my wife.

Thanks for coming back @Souter83

Are you a paid user?

If the playlist is public, does it mean you made it public when creating it?
It could be that the song is added at the end of the queue. Where do you listen to Deezer on? Mobile or desktop? Let me know :relaxed:

@Souter83 Is your playlist collaborative?

The playlist is not collaborative. I recently made it public to share with my wife. The songs are not added to the end of the playlist. I use my android mobile device most of the time

Sorry to hear that.

Perhaps this is new feature. You do not need to add any suggested tracks to your lists.

Sorry for any inconveniences caused. I hope this helps.

Also, @Souter83 make it private and collaborative, it'll help. Public means it can be edited, simple as that.

Only then share the link with your wife and let us know how it goes :relaxed:

This happens to me too. I'm pretty pissed off about it actually and I'm planning on leaving if I can't figure out how to make this stop. It is extremely annoying when I have a curated playlist and they're just adding random songs by the same artist that I did not want to hear.

You can disable automated recommendations at the end of an album or playlist at the top of the play queue with a related switch, but only in the desktop app and web player:

So you cant actually play the music you add to your playlist on the mobile app without dealing with all these unwanted song recommendations ( they aren't even good ) or paying money probably. 🤦‍♀️

Can’t believe i wasted all that time making a playlist for the app to just fucking suck 💀

Hi @Omfgletmejustcomment, sorry to hear that you are having this kind of experience.

Currently, there is no option to disable automated recommendations on the mobile app, but this feature is available on the Web and Desktop app. To do this, simply go to the queue and disable it.

However, when you search for a track and play it, the app will automatically create a track mix, and there is no way to deactivate this function.

On the other hand, if you're listening to a playlist or album, you have the freedom to decide whether you'd like to enable or disable automated recommendations.
