Why can't I just listen to the songs on my playlist?

I am a new user, using the Android app at the free level. I can’t for the life of me find an option to just play my playlists or even to shuffle them without them playing as “a mix inspired by.” I don’t always want this feature on. How do I turn it off?

As a Free user on mobile you cannot choose your tracks on-demand or play playlists that you have created, only playlists made by Deezer for you with a limited amount of skips. See these support articles and overview of available plans:

Afaik you need to upgrade to premium for that. If you can’t, Spotify might be a better option.

Hi @uhhhhmanda !

There is no option to turn off A mix inspired by ,unless you stop listening to what was started with the mix option.

Try turning your phone off and on again. It's also worth logging out and logging back maybe this will help if A mix inspired by appears even though it is not activated.

If you want to listen to songs from your favorites (playlists and albums) then Flow might still be the better option for you.

Hi @uhhhhmanda

I don't think there is a way to turn off A mix inspired by.

That’s what I was afraid of. I really feel like that should NOT be a paid-only feature. Back to YouTube Music I go, then.

Hello @uhhhhmanda thanks for your post.

Unfortunately, for now, the option to turn off Auto-Recommendations is only available on Desktop and Web.

If you can't listen to the songs on your playlist, check if they're available in your region, ensure your subscription is active, and verify your internet connection. Also, try clearing the app cache or restarting your device. If the issue persists, re-download the songs or update the app.

This makes no sense!  I just switched to Deezer and uploaded massive playlists, thousands of songs.  Now I can’t just play my playlists?  I don’t want to listen to the crap they suggest - they suggest 10 bad songs to 1 good one.  I just want to listen to the music I know I like.  Come on!   This should be a basic feature.  Looks like I have to go back to Spotify!

This is exactly why I moved from Spotify to Deezer because Spotify does the exact same thing. Now this is happening to me too. I don't know what to listen to now.
