I keep getting sign in attempts on my account. You email me saying that someone (mainly in US) is attempting to log in.

I had this recently where someone actually actually got into my account and kept changing the songs I was listening to.

I since changes my password but still getting people trying to log in.

Do you not have any security measures?

I have been with you for many years but very close to moving to Spotify.

What is going on with your security?

Hi @Ashley_R89 I am sorry to hear that.
I am not a cyber security expert but when things like this happen what we usually do is to update your account on our side closing sessions in any device where Deezer could be open  and send you a link where you can reset your password. And that’s exactly what I’ve done now. Please click on the link and enter a new password. Then login again with your new password.

If the problem persists, do not hesitate to contact me again.

Thanks

“Do you not have any security measures?”

Hello there @Ashley_R89 ,

As @Jaime. (and you) just outlined above, you were immediately notified of the attempt to log in to your account. No streaming service can eliminate the possibility of someone attempting to access your account.

Your password may have been compromised. Online security is something we need to take responsibility for ourselves. Don’t use passwords and or usernames for multiple accounts, consider using a password management service, or even have Google/Apple suggest strong passwords for you.

Cheers

G
