Playing on Google speakers

So when I ask any of my Google Nest speakers to play any of my playlists, it doesn't, it just plays random music. Is there anyway I can get this to work, as it was perfect on Spotify, and if I can't play on my Google speakers via voice command Deezer is pointless for me

Hi @Si1969 !

To play Deezer on your Google Nest speaker, open the Google Home app and link your Deezer account under "Manage Services" by tapping the + icon, then selecting "Music and audio" and finally linking your Deezer account. After linking, you can say, "Hey Google, play [song/artist/playlist] on Deezer" to start streaming your music. A Deezer Premium or Family subscription is required to use the service with your Google Nest speaker.

Here are the step-by-step instructions:
Open the Google Home app: on your phone or tablet.
Tap the add (+) icon: in the middle of the screen.
Select "Manage Services": and then choose "Music and audio".
Find Deezer: and tap the link icon next to it to connect your account.
Use your voice to play music: by saying, "Hey Google, play [song, artist, or playlist] on Deezer".

Important notes:
You must have a Deezer Premium or Deezer Family subscription to use the service on Google Nest speakers.
If Deezer is not your default music service, you will need to add "on Deezer" to the end of your voice commands.
If you have the Voice Match feature set up, your linked library content is protected from guests and housemates.

Hi @Nina Nebo and thank you for your response.

Just to confirm that I am on Deezer Family Plan, and I’ve already added the Deezer music service to my Google Home setup. Voice match is setup, and no one else is attempting to play via Deezer.

This morning I’ve done a test which will hopefully provide a better example of my issue.

1 -  Using the Deezer app I’ve created a playlist called “Test Mix” and added 1 song.

2 - I’ve woken my Google Nest speaker (Hello Google) and said play Test Mix.

3 - First response was Playing Test, and played music not on my playlist

4 - I’ve asked again play Test Mix.

5 - Second response was Playing Test 2 and played music not on my playlist

Previously using Spotify I could specify playlists and it would play them without issue.

To date with Deezer I have never successfully played any of my playlists using voice command via my Google smart speakers.

Hi @Si1969 I am sorry to hear that.
Out of curiosity, this might sound obvious but did you say “play test mix playlist” as a command or just “play test mix”?
Thanks

I didn't use the word playlist in my tests.

However I've just repeated the test adding the word playlist onto the end and it's made no difference.

Additional issue, is that I ask my Google speakers to play Liked, Favourites or Favourites playlist and it just plays random music, nothing at all related to my actual library.

@Si1969 this is a known issue now and has been reported to our devs who are working on a fix.
Thank you for your patience and apologies for the inconvenience
