Hi @chrisjohamo !

If you intend to delete your account, it will not happen by itself and especially it will not be achieved by this statement of yours.
How to do this is in the article in the link below

How to delete Your Deezer Account

https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/201168742-Delete-Your-Deezer-Account

Deleting your account is irreversible.

You will not be able to recover it.

Thanks for another article explaining “how to” but forgets to mention the fact that you can not use the mobile app or the mobile browser wherer you can sign up, but when you want to delete the account you suddenly need to use your computer?! @Nina Nebo

Thanks for talking down to me “If you intend to delete your account, it will not happen by itself and especially it will not be achieved by this statement of yours.”

it was really informative and useful. But it adds to my experience of deezer being designed toxic on purpose.

@chrisjohamo !

You could have explained to us right away that you don't like the fact that you can't delete your deezer account via the mobile app or the mobile browser and have a frustrating user experience.

    You can only delete your Deezer account via a desktop web browser (or mobile browser in desktop mode) because the mobile app is designed primarily for consumption, not account management. This restriction ensures you explicitly confirm the permanent loss of playlists and data.

Reasons for Desktop-Only Deletion:

Irreversible Action: Deleting an account removes all favorites, playlists, and personal data, which cannot be recovered.

Subscription Protection: You cannot delete an account with an active subscription. You must use a desktop browser to cancel and wait for it to revert to the free plan first.

Validation Requirement: The process requires entering your password and verifying via email, which is more securely handled via a browser.
