That’s really frustrating! Deezer’s Flow should reflect your top genres, but it seems stuck on trance/techno. YouTube Music definitely does a better job with dynamic recommendations. Have you tried resetting your listening history or adjusting genre preferences? If that doesn’t help, reaching out to Deezer support might be the next step. Quality music recommendations are key, and if Flow isn't delivering, it’s hard to stick with it.

My music flow doesn't personalize, regardless of my mood or listening habits. It recommends pop and techno despite playing 99% rock and metal songs. I've noticed that if I skip songs, there's no reaction from the flow - it just continues playing without any change.
I've also found that even if I press the 'change my mood' button, the flow often doesn't adjust. Instead, it might recommend a song that it thinks fits the original genre or style, rather than actually changing to something more fitting for my current mood.
This is particularly frustrating when using YouTube Music. A single skip is enough to change the playlist instantly, but Deezer's flow seems primitive in comparison. I've tried listening to a large number of songs from artists I like (over 350) and still, the flow doesn't recognize my taste. In fact, even with over 1400 favorite songs and 70 added artists, it consistently mispredicts my preferences.
I've also tried manually training the flow by only listening to manually picked songs for a week. But when I came back to it, the flow still recommended pop and techno trance, techno, instead other genres that I like.
It's frustrating and feels like the flow is bugged or only updated once a month. Which would be ridiculous, given how much data they have about my listening habits.
For YouTube Music, when I first started using it, I found that their 'Supermix' feature was surprisingly effective at adapting to my listening habits. Initially, all I had to do was select a few favorite artists and songs, and the “Supermix”(youbtes “flow” ) would quickly adjust based on my skips, likes, dislikes, and downvotes.
Within 1-2 hours of use, the Supermix had learned my preferences and started making recommendations that were remarkably accurate. By the end of day two or three, it had become almost intuitive, rarely trying to introduce me to new music or bands that I might not enjoy.
What's even more impressive is that this happened without requiring any manual curation or fine-tuning. The Supermix just seemed to 'get it' through sheer volume and data-driven analysis.
and thats basicly just a side feature for YTM i hoped deezer would atleast be on par.
Hi @Evonos, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback.
I’m sorry to hear that your Flow experience hasn’t been as personalized as it should be.
It’s clear that, despite your efforts to train the algorithm, the recommendations aren’t aligning with your preferences.
Flow is designed to adapt based on your listening habits, including skips, favourites, and the artists you follow. From what you’ve described, it seems like there may be an issue preventing your listening data from syncing correctly.
I’ll make sure your concerns are passed along to the relevant team for further investigation.
Hello @Evonos I got a reply from the recommendation team.
According to them, we are running since Monday an AB Test where some users, you included, where Flow is more focus on collected content and less in recent stream.
Please give us feedback on how Flow is performing now.

In fact, yes! I was already wondering why it suddenly sounds (Song choice ) so much better.
With the “more favourites” setting, it's nearly perfect. I would argue that it's extremely close to, or on the same level as, YouTube's Supermix. It plays approximately 1-4 favourite tracks followed by a new song (or multiple as in non favourited ones ) . After an hour of flow play, it starts to mix in fewer favourites, but these new songs also fit my taste very well—an excellent change, indeed.
I haven't tested the “I want to discover more” setting recently. Maybe I’ll try it soon and report back.
Very good changes !

So i tested Flow “I want to discover more” this mode sadly is still Terrible doesnt react at all , doesnt learn its 100% trance / techno.
Atleast “i want more favourites” mode works now great.
