Adding additional tracks to existing playlist

I need to be able to play these new tracks offline. Is there a way to do this? When I add new tracks they don't download and other than creating a new playlist I can't think of any other way to do this. Sorry  but this is a deal breaker for me. I commute and need offline mode for my playlists and I'm always adding to them.
