How does Alexa/google know which account to access?

I've just upgraded to family for the extra accounts. How does my daughter get her playlosts to play on alexa in her bedroom, while my wife asks the downstairs alexa to play her playlost from her acc? Does the speaker recognise the name of the playlist if it is on one of the other 5accounts?

Hello @Andynod sorry for the late reply!

So if they create the playlists on their own profile then they have to connect to their own profile on Alexa too, here is how:

To switch family profiles, disable the skill and relink your profile following these steps:

  1. Within the Amazon Alexa app, select More
  2. Select Skills & Games
  3. Select the Search icon, and enter Deezer
  4. Select Deezer
  5. Select DISABLE SKILL
  6. Select DISABLE
  7. Select ENABLE TO USE
  8. Log in to your Deezer account
  9. Select the Member Profile you wish to link
  10. Select Accept to grant permission

Hello @Andynod, is the Alexa always logged in the same account, in the different Alexa devices?

Are the playlist personal playlists or playlists created by Deezer?

Could you give me more info and maybe even a concrete example?

Thanks a lot!

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Alexa is always on and is my acc. I'm just trying to work out how to best use the family accounts in deezer. It seems I'm just using it in the same way as before. If my girls and wife create their own profile (under the 6 we are allowed) how do they then access them when asking google/alexa to play them?
