New Music Notifications

I agree with you. I now use YTM for checking for new releases and this is not what I want.

I did not come to the community for workaround answers. I came here so the Deezer engineers could see what is wrong with their apps and services. Not sure why this is marked as answered. Deezer employees should be coming here and marking this as fixed when they get these issues figured out. I am assuming that the community is a place for us to gather but Deezer employees don't bother listening.

Deezer support told me to come to the community and I knew that they can't do their jobs and fix the issues.

Have you tried to update the app to the latest version available? Either way on your mobile phone or your desktop app

I have checked the notifications from my fav artists/music on wwww.deezer.com and they look fine 👍

I am always waiting for a new update to the app and the recent one was about the colors of the app so deezer isn't concerned about the other things that should fixed.

As a user stated above, YouTube music is an option but not a fix. I recently just got notified of a new track from YouTube but not Deezer.

Please let me know where you go in the desktop app which I don't use much.

I am testing an older version of the Deezer app but I am pretry sure it is on the back end that is the issue. My last notification from deezer was 2 weeks ago for a track that has nothing to do with my preferences. In that time there have been probably 5 new tracks or albums from different bands that have come out and I haven't been notified about from deezer.

I’ve updated the notifications preferences on your Deezer account so you should receive now only the notifications of the artists/music that you like.

I would give it some time (like 24h) to this change to be reflected in your account/system. Let us know how it goes! 😁

Due to it being march 1st I got the “Your My Deezer Month is here” notification. So that at least means the notifications are working but not the notifications I am looking for.

I will try to favorite a bunch more bands to see if I can push this test along faster. A band I like released an album on the 28th and I didn't get a notification but I will see if I can find some more bands. It would be nice if Deezer support could send me test notifications.

I found a post on here talking about possibly the issue may be because the follower counts are lower on bands and those notifications won't come through for their new releases.

Can someone find out if that is true?

Hi ​@gorge544! If a band has a lower follower count, it can sometimes mess with the notifications for their new releases.

It would be nice to know why the developers can’t make any band you favorite gets to send you a notification of new releases.  I am also curious why during most of my free trial month I got some new music notifications but now I paid for a year and I am not getting any.  Not even getting the bad recommendations… It would be nice not needing a different service to get new music notifications when I have a paid music service.  Now Deezer isn’t the only one failing at these notifications, I just overall like Deezer better than the others.  There is just room for improvement.

Does signing up for beta testing get me direct access to the developers?
