Do you get an error message or just nothing happens?
Please make sure you check the email address to which the offer was sent. You then have to log in with it and the corresponding password. If you take another free account, for example, it doesn't work.
I also got the offer for one of my free accounts. If I click on the link and then log into the account, I get the offer mentioned by email:
