Deezer App on Apple TV

I, like many other people at the moment, am shopping around for a new service and I remembered really liking Deezer. I come back and yup, still a great service, still a good interface, still a great catalog, you offer flac streaming… except there’s no app for what is one of the most popular media machines there are. Why no AppleTV app? You’ve been promising you want to make one for over two years here. Such a shame. Guess I’ll check out Tidal. You’re missing out on subscriptions because of this. 

I would also like to have the best possible sound quality - as is one of Deezers selling points. Have an Apple TV 4k, and in the apps there is no shortage of streaming apps (Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal and others that I did not even check out).

Not quite a dealbreaker yet, but it has a feeling of becoming one later on.. Seems to itch that way.

I would like to be an Deezer costumer, but your platform policy sucks.

I used to be a costumer until you abandoned LG WebOS app for my C7 OLED. Now i got the new C3, but i suspect that it will be only a short while until you stop supporting this platform also.

If you want loyal costumers, you should be on all most popular platforms and keep updating them to they are end of life.

Hi everyone, honestly, I don't believe it will happen anytime soon because Apple has its own apps... 🙂
But you're welcome to join our "Got an Idea" discussion and share more suggestions; our developers are keeping an eye on it 😉.

 

It has been an “idea” for more than five years, so what would that help.

Apple has its own apps, what is that for a lame excuse? So they do for IOS, and thats no problem.

If Deezer wont do bussines with ATV users, then just say so, so we can all move on to Tidal or Spotify.

Exactly! In that case Deezer won’t have any app at all, nowhere.

Are The developers on a strike in France 😉? I understood the app was available in a couple of weeks.

Hi @uffeprebensen, We are currently finalizing the last details, and we hope to make the beta version available to our users soon.

Deezer user here from day 1. Premium subscriber for now 5 years or more. I am really thinking now to switch to Spotify due to this issue. If I figure out how to migrate favorites and playlists easily I’d rather have this one hurdle than changing my setup for every time I want to listen to my music at my place.

This is such a simple thing I think to do. Usually TV is connected to most home sound systems and there is now just no proper way to seamlessly stream music on this system. Casting works poorly, limited interface etc.

Please fix this. I believe we are loyal customers here.

You said a couple of months ago that Deezer were finalising the last details for a beta release of Apple TV. Is this still progressing as everybody in this thread has been quite patient waiting for details?…..
