Blocking or removing followers

Userlevel 1

I see that blocking a follower is no longer an option.  Why has this been removed?
Can a member of the admin team remove a follower from my account?

And no I don’t wish to put my account on private.

Is there any help available on this?

As I understand, putting my account on private will not remove the follower.  He’ll sit there until I get off private again.  I don’t want his name there full stop.

He’s someone I had a date with and now won’t leave me alone.  Why did the block function go?  Please can an admin help with this?

I don’t think there’s an option to ignore followers.

I am sorry that you feel this way. Many people do stalk or they can not leave you alone. But you can. Leave them alone, do not react using grey rock method and they will fade away tired of no results.

Stop feeding their ego and they will disappear like last season.

I hope you can enjoy using your Deezer.

Make sure to listen Time Of Your Life (Original Mix) · Thyron on Deezer to feel alive.

CONGRATULATIONS on leaving anything toxic. I am celebrating one year without borderline him. BPD, you can Google it out, very toxic lovers or even friends. He cheated on me w/ Tinder.

The music I found on Deezer made not only to RUN, but to HEAL as well.

Enjoy your journey without narcissists. Life is complicated enough already, you don’t need them. If you need any help or someone to talk, you can message me for a chat.

Because in the end I know how does it feel when they keep contacting and following you.

They should make options to filter followers or commenters on profiles and lists.

In the meantime @DatGirl · keep living, keep shining and keep thriving.

Because it is the only way to go. Namaste.

Hello all, sorry that this option is not available at the moment, we know it’s a major inconvenience. @Germán Jaramillo Pineda, I don’t see any followers on the Deezer account linked to your email address on the Community?

Hello @Germán Jaramillo Pineda, ok that’s good, thanks for letting me know, I appreciate  I hear you for the feature, we’re in the process of revamping the whole social features on Deezer, sorry about the inconvenience. We’ll let you know once we have news on our side

Very true...not having that option readily/easily available as a user is quite a problem... I'm also stuck with the same problem.

Has there been any discussion to reapplying this feature to Deezer?

I’ve been a user since 2018 as well as a huge advocate for the platform, but i find myself worried to share music with friends or use outside features to stream music because I do so from another platform where I would prefer others didn’t see my followers for privacy reasons. I don’t want my profile to be private, and I don’t want these people following me anymore.

I’ve been checking this thread for the last two years and similar ones to check for updates, but want to pose the question, would it be that unreasonable to say that users paying for the platform should be entitled to some sort of privacy?

Hey @Mushrooms, yes I understand what you are saying and I agree with you.

Hopefully we will improve this feature soon, but I know it is not a priority.

I have an alternative solution for you.

Create a new deezer account, contact our Support and ask to transfer the whole content of your account to the new one.

Delete the old account with all the followers.

It’s safe and honestly the fastest way to achieve your goal. :metal_tone3:

Hi there,

I am new to Deezer and I found out that several people are already following me and surprisingly, that I am also following people I do not even know well. How did this happen? Is Deezer tracking my other social media account information? I never gave Deezer permission to do that, and this practice would probably violate EU data protection rules, given I never consented to this.

All I want is to have a private experience. I do not want my profile to be even visible to anyone. Is this too much to ask really?

Why is Deezer forcing this feature on us customers? I do not understand the point of this.

I did not know Deezer branded themselves as a social media platform.

Please allow us to have a private Deezer music experience.

And yes, this is a priority for some of us.

Thank you for your help and best regards,
