Artists/Band from different genres mixed together because they have the same name

Does Deezer not employ anyone to sort out their catalogue?  Now I like a 70s rock band called “Cactus” but under their band name are about 5 other artists/bands with the same name but different genres. This means you have a hard rock band, an Afghan folk band, a South American pipe band and a group from India (and I think a French band has popped up now). How do we get them all sorted into their own place?  It’s not just these either it’s a real mess but nobody seems to do anything about it!

Deezer offer you all what have same name in this case Cactus and you need to choose artist which you searching.
Just need click on name of artist and then will show up all discography ,track or whatever .

same is on mobile app

@Richard P James

 Deezer offer you all artist with same name because they are not separated in search by genre .

Well that’s pathetic. It’s not what people want especially when they offer services like “flow” and shuffle which will pull in completely irrelevant bands & artists that you don’t want to hear just because they have the same name.

Also, if I start a band called “Taylor Swift” I would get mixed up with other “Taylor Swift” albums and as soon as one of mine was played by accident I would get paid royalties for it????  Do the artists know this is happening?

Hey @Richard P James I’ve tried to remove songs from different artists on Cactu’s Rock band profile.
Could you please check the profile now and let me know if it looks good to you?
Thanks for your help :)

I have the same problem. My band's name Transcendence (US) is mixed with another band and the songs look like they are from the same band even though the genres and styles are different. Help me solve this problem - you can add US to the name of my band to distinguish it from the others. The first song is already online through our distributor.

Hi @Transcendence band US please share the URL on Deezer for the wrong artist page that you mentioned as well as the URL of your release(s) in order to help you.
Thanks
