Deezer just dropped two exciting features that make your music experience even more personal and more fun. Whether you're a playlist perfectionist or just like having things your way, these updates are all about putting you in control.

  1. Customize Your Favourites Tab 🔝

Your Favourites tab just got a major upgrade! Now, you can rearrange your favourite content exactly how you like it. Want your go-to workout playlist right at the top? Or maybe that chill album you’ve been vibing with all week? No problem.

How it works: Just drag and drop your top playlists, albums, artists, or podcasts within the Favourites tab to arrange them in the order that suits you best. It’s quick, easy, and gives your Deezer a more “you” kind of feel.

  1. Make Your Playlist Covers Your Own 🎨

Your playlists deserve some personality too! With Deezer's new playlist cover customization, you can now give each playlist its own unique look.

Here’s how to do it:

Click on "Edit playlist", then upload your own image or choose from suggested options. Whether it’s a vacation snapshot for your travel tunes or a moody aesthetic for your late-night tracks, your playlists can now visually match the vibe.

With these two new features, Deezer is giving music lovers even more control over how they experience and express their musical tastes. So go ahead - rearrange, redesign, and make Deezer feel more like home.

What do you think of these new changes in the app? We are looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Cool 😎

There is suddenly a huge text with the playlist name over my album art image. It looks terrible but I can’t seem to get rid of it. What’s up with that? I have created beautiful images which I’ve always been able to see perfectly before and now they’re completely covered by text I never asked for. If you don’t fix that I personally absolutely hate the update.

I don't want my playlist name on the picture, it gets in the way and it's not like the name isn't below it anyway - it doesn't need to be displayed twice and hide half of my cover photo

@Karolinele and @Eddie_F:

Can you share a screenshot with us?

@awesomemac Here is an example what it looks like now (above) and what it used to look like (below).

@Karolinele  @Eddie_F

If you don't want a large text on your playlist cover image, you need to upload the image from Desktop Deezer app . At the moment, this is the only option to avoid the large text .
Maybe the developers will realize that people are not satisfied and will allow creating playlist cover images without text on mobile as well.

Thank you @Nina Nebo! For some reason I can’t save my playlist edits on desktop so that option’s closed for me. Super frustrating!

Hi @Karolinele @Eddie_F @Nina Nebo we are taking in consideration all your feedback and working on it.
Thanks for your patience :)

For the "Favourites" Tab, PLEASE add the ability for users to hide/unhide sections that they use/don't use.

I.e., I personally don't use either the "Podcasts" section, nor the "Shaker groups". Section.

It would be nice to be able to hide/remove those sections, so that I don't have to keep constantly looking at them.

Thankfully you can drag away the text from the image in the cover creator.

However a major issue is that the quality of the playlist cover has been noticeably reduced. When clicked into a playlist showing the large cover it is very apparent, but even with the smaller preview the difference feels noticable, it's more blurry now.

Random 2 is an old playlist, test is new

instead of wasting time on this feature bring back and improve connect

I love that we can now customize our Favourites tab. Thank you very much. Playlist cover customization is nice to but I usually use chatgpt/sora to create a cover

Hi. I think the ability to customise the order of playlists is a big step in the right direction. However, there’s no mention of the desktop version. Does this change apply to it as well? Thanks.

Hi @Gregoire959 thanks for your feedback. The feature is available on Mobile and web at the moment.

Thanks for your reply.

That is a pity. The lack of this feature on the desktop application is a primary reason I did not complete the Free Trial period. (When I ended my trial I submitted my reasons in some detail.) I am familiar with and a subscriber to Spotify. I find their desktop application is *more* functional than their phone app, not less. It’s certainly at least equal. I would like to switch to Deezer because of the fidelity available and because you apparently reward musicians more fairly. But until the desktop app is at least as capable as your phone app, *and* rivals various of Spotify’s functional features, I’m afraid I won’t be changing. (By the way, another example of Spotify’s design I find much preferable is having *all* the settings (or preferences) on one long page, including whether to link to Facebook, for example, and who amongst my Facebook friends to follow. Further, I can display a panel on the right of the screen where I can see who is playing what “now” (or their most recent, up to a point, song/album/playlist); and I can click to listen too, and even save the whole playlist. I don’t find this an essential feature, but I like it.)

How about fixing basic functionality first?

Hi @Jaime.Deezer

I noticed in your screenshot that the Club tab doesn’t appear in your bottom navigation bar, and you’re using an iPhone — how is that possible?

Is there a way to disable or hide the Club tab manually, or is this related to a specific test or internal setting?

Thanks in advance for your answer!
