Podcast fans around the world can now discover a huge range of shows, wherever they are

Deezer’s Podcast tab is now available for audio fans across Asia, Africa and Oceania. Our Podcast tab, previously called “Shows,” helps fans find their favorite podcasts in one convenient place.

They're now available for all Deezer users in over 180 countries. Audio fans can discover shows across 15 categories and sub-genres. These include themes like self-help, business news, cooking, music and talk shows. The Podcast tab is also home to local shows such as “Podcast and Chill with MacG” in South Africa and “Wild With Sarah Wilson” in Australia. You’ll also find exclusive Deezer Originals content like our “Straight Outta Asia” series, featuring five up-and-coming hiphop stars in Asia.

Countries include Australia, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Senegal, Singapore and South Africa.

How are podcast episides marked played, and hidden. Surely this is possible, its pretty much the fundamental operation of a podcast app. I’m starting to think podcast support is so far from ready to use as my player. Glad i haven't cancelled spotify family plan just yet.

As an update for other users looking at deezer as a podcast player support is unwillingly to assit in adding missing podcasts, i was told pretty much if i want them i have have to get them added myself. I’m looking at over half my podcast subscription missing, pretty poor library in my opinion.

Apologies for the library of podcasts not meeting your expectations @alanking and yes, we don't have a platform to request podcast owners to add their content on our platform yet.

The good thing is that the feature you suggested is under discussion at the moment - we just have to fix some app bugs first, before looking to build new features. Hope you understand, thanks for your utmost support so far :pray_tone2:
