Deezer Awards

Grab some popcorn and come down memory lane with us!

To celebrate the best music of 2021 Deezer has organised its very own awards ceremony.:trophy:

On this Community you will see the Global results, to know regional results visit our Portuguese, Spanish, French, German speaking Communities.

What artists are you missing in this list?

What category should we add next year?

When are they going to be announced?

The editors’ “on repeat” playlists are what I’m looking forward to hearing. 👊🏼

I guess the contest is already over and/or is based on global site statistics, because you can already find the results in the apps when clicking on the link:

https://www.deezer.com/en/channels/bestof-2021

There will also be a personalised overview of your 2021 favorites later that you can share with your Spotify friends.   If you are scrobbling your Deezer listening to Last.fm, they will publish your shareable Last.year 2021 listening report in the first week of 2022.

Hey @JJST the results were first our on our official Social Media channels and on our Deezer channel,

just like @bluezzbastardzz said.

Now you can see them here too! I am really excited to see Maneskin in the Worldwide results, they have been doing so great! And the Weekend has just been robbing the bank :prince_tone5::joy:

I know,  @GropplerZorn, the editor’s “on repeat” playlist are amazing! I found a lot of my personal favourites in Adam’s playlist, which one did you like most?

I love Editors’ On Repeat playlists too, didn’t explore them yet, but I like the idea and the personal/human touch that playlist covers with the real people behind “The Machine” brings

I’m exploring some of the “Best of 2021” playlists, and this is something I usually don’t do. I don’t listen to chart topping hits because I don’t like 95% of what is produced today in mainstream music. Actually there are some styles and songs that I really hate… which brings me to another topic:

Could it be possible to integrate a “Incognito” or “Private Session” feature that turns OFF the AI that looks at what I’m listening, so in the future I don’t find my recommendations filled with unwanted songs/artists?

There is some sort of private mode in Deezer, but I guess it only hides your listening from other Deezer users and does not ignore your listening affecting your own recommendations:

https://www.deezer.com/account/share

So there might already be a related idea on this forum, and if not, you can create a new one.

Hey @Eddie C, yes I also appreciate the fact that there is a human behind the playlists. I believe that having editors also gives more space to emerging artists because algorithms tend to be very mainstream.

I know what you are saying about a private mode, unfortunately there isn’t an option to have it the way you intend it. We have a Private mode, but it’s the one @bluezzbastardzz is describing.

You might want to create a new idea, I don’t think it will be prioritized straight away but as Flow is transforming it’s a good feedback to give.

But I get you.. it’s so annoying sometimes you are with friends, you play crowd pleasers to make everyone happy and then it “””stains”” your Flow and recommendations for a while. Good thing is, it doesn’t take so long to put it back on track and the new Flow moods help too!

With a Deezer family account this should not happen either, as far as I know, i.e. each member gets their own recommendations, no matter if only a profile created by the admin or invited individual accounts.

The other related option you could use is banning all artists and tracks that you don’t like with the angry face icon. They will be listed in your excluded artists and tracks afterwards:

https://www.deezer.com/exclusions/artists

And here is the related idea where you can vote (only 35 so far):

I haven’t heard them all, but at first glance, it’s going to be Mara's, which is no surprise to me, I follow her and listen to many of her playlists. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@GropplerZorn  I also love seeing Maneskin here! They’re great!

I don’t know Arlo Parks, so I might check her music out

How do I transfer Playlist to new phone

@Linda Rich if it’s the same account, your playlists should be there no matter the device you’re using
