someone was complaining about this 4 years ago and it is still an issue. it makes no sense to have to login a desktop app frequently. defeats part of the purpose. even the website doesn’t require logging in as much.

The login process to the desktop app always involves your browser, so maybe you could allow saving cookies for Deezer if you have generally disabled them? The main problems with affording too many logins with answering captchas all the time etc. was fixed back then, so it should not happen anymore.

I’ve started to wonder if the issue might be related to using multiple browser profiles.
If the background check runs while I’m in a profile that isn’t signed in to Deezer, I could imagine that it would fail.

To rule that out, I’ve now signed in to Deezer in all of my profiles, so the background authentication should work everywhere.

I’ll get back to you on whether this works in a month’s time.

    Did it work out? 🙂
It still happens for me from time to time, but it’s very weird, since I don’t have this happening with any other App.

I was having this issue and managed to solve it.
Deezer would always open at startup at the Login page, which took me to the browser auth, then back to the app once logged in.
I’m part of a Family account, and one issue I had is that it would always automatically log me in to the Master account (since my friend once gave me the master password so I had admin privileges). So this is how I stopped it doing that, and also might be a good idea for general refresh of settings (though maybe not necessary in all cases):

    1. fully quit Deezer.

    1. delete ~/Library/Application Support/Deezer/Local Storage and Session Storage (back them up first), then log back in. (this creates new versions of those folders with fresh data).

Then the main staying-logged-in between reboots fix:
I did this by enabling third-party cookies in my browser for Deezer. This needs to be on your default browser, since that’s what opens when you click Login on the Deezer app.
In my case that’s Chrome – go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Third-party cookies. One option is select “Allow third-party cookies” globally. Or, if you prefer to block third-party cookies except Deezer, select “Block third-party cookies”, and then further down you can add an exception for Deezer where it says “Sites allowed to use third-party cookies”. Click “Add”, and then type “[*.]deezer.com” into the dialog box. This solved it for me, Should be a similar process for other browsers.

Actually, I already had “Allow third-party cookies” enabled, but it wasn’t working. Only started working when I blocked third-party cookies with Deezer as an exception.

I have the same problem on my Windows app and have accepted the cookies. You posted this 2 years ago so 6 years later it’s still an issue!
