Hello!

I'm currently making the move from Spotify, and I'm trying to optimize the sound.

However I can't find any settings regarding an equalizer in the desktop program. The FAQ tells me that there should be a speaker icon somewhere but I'm having a hard time finding it. I've googled and googled and browsed the community, but I really can't find it.

I'm using Windows 11 with a fresh Deezer installation.

Can anyone point me towards the right direction?

Thanks!

Also some side-questions since I don't want to be spammy:

  1. I keep getting a ‘your computer seems to be offline’ message/banner, which I can dismiss, but it keeps popping up despite the connection being fine. Is there a way to disable this message?

  2. The media keys only appear to work when the program is active. Are there some additional permissions needed in order to use the media keys when Deezer is minimized, and if so, which?

Hello @Beee, the equalizer is only available on the mobile for now.

Try reinstalling the app for the error message.

You can see what the media keys are by pressing H when the app is open.

It is the Space bar for play and pause and it works even when the app is minimized!

Hi Yula!

Thanks for your reply. I didn't realize the equalizer was phone-only. That solves that! I'll try reinstalling to get rid of the offline error.

Regarding the media keys, they don't work for me when Deezer is minimized. I think it may be because the space bar is used by a lot of other things, like the browser, desktop etc. Is there a way I can change the keys? Or maybe I'm missing something!

Wait, I'm an idiot. It's not a space bar issue as none of the hotkeys work for me when the app isn't active.

Reinstalling unfortunately didn't fix the ‘offline’ error. However it's just a little visual thing that can easily be ignored as the program still works regardless of it.

Any tips on getting the media keys to work?
