Samsung Multiroom App Feedback: login and other issues

Hi all, mine is still not working either. I’ve been speaking to Deezer support on twitter and tried their suggestions of logging out on all devices from Deezer, reset password and log back in. Now it’s worse I can’t access at all it says ID or password incorrect. Yet I can access ok on Deezer app. So must be a samsung MultiRoom app problem. I’m going to cancel my Deezer subscription tonight as it’s been weeks with no fix. This pretty much means my Samsung R speakers are useless. So disappointed and frustrated. Will try Samsung twitter support but not holding my breath for a fix!

I’ve signed up for a free trial of Spotify and it works very well with Samsung’s Multiroom app, however Deezer has HiFi so if they can collaborate with Samsung to fix the issue I’ll stay with Deezer.

 

Shame as I’ve enjoyed the Deezer experience so far but having several unusable Samsung Multiroom speakers in the house will prompt me to switch to Spotify (I might try Tidal although it could have a similar issue to Deezer).

 

Deezer, you need to move quickly on this. Perhaps a quick fix is needed and a longer term fix is to look at how Spotify do it?

Deezer is there any solution on the Samsung Multiroom app or should we give up and go to Spotify?

Hey @potestus if you can’t delete Deezer, then follow all the other steps and skip that one! Let us know if it helps.

hey, sorry to hear this, would you mind also trying these steps, please? 

  • Log out of Deezer on all devices it might be logged in
  • Get a new password for your account on this link
  • Delete Deezer from the Samsung Multiroom app (if possible) 
  • Turn off your device for 1-2 minutes
  • Turn it back on
  • Add Deezer to the Samsung Multiroom app
  • Login with your new password

Wonder how long this time? Anyone else got it back yet..... 

 

As we've said before the Deezer app is built in I can't be deleted. 

I agrre with Jonathan Roy (sans doute Québécois comme moi, Simon Lepage et les autres qui ont ce même problème) that switching to Spotify seems to be the only possible outcome since Deezer has beeen incapapble for over a year now to reslolve this issue.

Just tried using my Samsung multiroom for the first time since the summer and guess what…….Deezer doesn’t work on it again.

Finally I see that there is people who have a lot of money invested in Samsung Multiroom and Deezer…. This is the same here dkr. 25000,- (3000£)

We must not give up. - Like you Ripperoo. - I have the same thoughts about Samsung is about to shut the Multiroom app down…. And only developed on the Smartthings for the future and their new soundsystems…

If anyone have the opportunity to speak with a lawyer or a person who have the skills to this kind of case. Please take this case further…… I really think we only have a chance, if we stick together and make a lawsuit against Samsung...

Like my earlier respond still no solution, cause it isn't working. When will a new release be announced to solve this authentication issue?

Hi Friends, 

As usual, checked my speaker system this morning, and by chance had the Soundbar set as the lead of the group (six speakers in total).

😯 It works!! 

Everything accessible, playlists, fav's, albums the lot. 

Which is great, the only thing that stops it from working is if I change the order of the connected speakers.Only works with the Soundbar as lead.

I can live with that! 

Anyone else working?

Our developers attempted to work in conjunction with Samsung on this - but it wasn't possible. Deezer isn't responsible for developing this app, so we're unable to move things forward. Thank you for your support and understanding.

This problem still is here! My Deezer account has been useless for a year now? French crap, and Samsung Asian crap. I will also go to Spotify and buy Sonos! Stupid!!

Sorry to hear that @Raun - I've been just relaying the progress that has been communicated to me. And doing the same from here to them, the doors are wide open and I read all of your comments. I'm genuinely sorry for the upset.

This situation has been escalated to a higher level here as well, quite some time ago, so we're just waiting to hear more the same way that you do.

 

In the meantime and separate to this issue, we're working on improving our own API for existing and future integrations.

Already unsubscribed. More than a year and still no fix to be seen. Maybe subscribe again if they get this multiroom/deezer problem.

Sorry that's happening and you still have problems. But after several attempts, we currently don't have the support of Samsung on this issue. Please note that the Samsung Multiroom app isn't developed by us and you may have more support from their side.

We can only see that the issue is on desk at the moment, being worked on by our developers. We can't estimate an update from them.

I know it's frustrating and you're all right about being without the use of Samsung Multiroom for any given time - but our devs always work on a multitude of issues simultaneously and it takes a bit of extra time when the problem is on a different app or platform. So bear with us a bit longer - everyday we check for more users who are being affected and pass it on to the right team - hopefully we can have a solution soon.
