Random crashes with desktop app

Sometimes the app crashes on opening it, and sometimes it opens. When it opens there’s a random chance that it crashes when navigating menus, about 30% of the time, and it also randomly crashes when playing music. I’ve restarted my computer, and reinstalled deezer to no avail, and I’m certain it isn’t a hardware issue as I’m on a relatively new computer which I built myself and it isn’t having issues with any other apps. I have no 3rd party antivirus other than windows defender, but I do have a vpn, but whether its on or off doesn’t make a difference. I managed to get it to spit out a crash report randomly, which read “type error intermediate value is not a function error”.
