Pride / gay / ... prominent suggestions

Are other users also seeing this? I’ve never listened to that type of music or groups, yet now the first suggestions I have on my Home (either website or Windows app) are gay/pride/… suggestions. Everyday is a different series of suggestions on the same theme (yesterday it was gay).

I entirely respect everyone’s opinion and orientation, but I don’t understand why I get suggestions that are entirely irrelevant to my choices and which are, well, political. That’s not why I’m paying a premium subscription.

I actually find it potentially offensive.

Hi @mischiew !

Many users dislike the feature because of not being able to permanently hide. The good news is that this is being shown temporarily on your home page , just like holiday playlists...

Pride playlists appear on your Deezer homepage because the platform actively promotes global music culture events, such as Pride Month in June. Additionally, the recommendation algorithm features trending music and campaigns, placing these playlists front-and-center as curated editorial content.

I think that those suggestions, like the ones that are shown for other events, should be at the bottom and not the top. It’s confusing and not user-friendly.

I understand your frustation , because can’t be easily permanently hidden from the main feed or remove down .

Deezer features Pride playlists at the top of the home page because it is Pride Month (June).
The platform actively highlights other music trends/playlists on home page ,like Christmas etc.

If you use the ublock origin extension, you can block any category you want! At least on desktop, this won’t do anything on the app.

Go to your ublock dashboard → My Filters and add the following:

www.deezer.com##section.channel-section:has-text(/Loud & Proud/)

You can do this for any section that you don’t want on your main page, just change out the text between /the text here/

I know I’ll be using this filter a lot more often. When I open up Deezer I want to see Recently Played and New Releases right at the top. I have no interest in seasonal stuff. If I wanted to listen to Christmas music, I would search for it!

This woke gay agenda has gone too far. Its shoved in everyones faces everywhere

If i had chosen the “non binary” option in the profile i would understand but im not so why shove this shit in our faces?

And comparing this perversion to Christmas, seriously?? What does this even have to do with music streaming? Let those who want it search for it like everything else you want to listen to.
