Please remember the scroll position when returning to Albums or Artists

I've noticed an issue in the Deezer macOS app that becomes quite frustrating when browsing large music libraries.

I have more than 600 albums in my collection and I enjoy browsing through them, opening an album that catches my eye, listening to a track, and then returning to continue exploring my library.

Unfortunately, when I go back from an album page to my Albums or Artists view, the app returns me to the top of the list instead of the position I was previously viewing. This means I often have to scroll through hundreds of albums to find where I was.

After testing, I can only reproduce this behaviour in the macOS app. I have not seen the same issue elsewhere so far.

Apple Music handles this differently and returns you to the exact position where you left off, which makes browsing large libraries much more enjoyable.

A good analogy would be this: it feels like browsing through CDs in a record shop, picking one from the shelf to have a look at it, and then having a member of staff place you back at the entrance of the shop every time. 😄

For users with large collections, remembering the previous scroll position would be a small change that would make a big difference to the overall user experience.

Does anyone else experience this in the macOS app?

I’ve passed the feedback to our devs and I’ll provide an update as soon as I hear back from them.
Thanks for your patience :)
