Hello,

I’ve tried to contact the support, but they’re obviously unwilling to help. Has anyone noticed the new erratic behaviour when you click on the top Search box, in the Windows app (not the browser)?

Except sometimes the first time, when the user clicks on the Search box,

  • it opens a drop-down list with the history
  • it then loses the focus

When I click on Search and type the text (artist, ...), because it loses the focus, my keystrokes are interpreted as shortcuts. I had all sort of funny things happening because of this. So frustrating, even more that the support is obstinately unwilling to fix the bug.

1) Before doing anything:

2) I click on the Search box: it gets the focus for a few milliseconds

3) After a few milliseconds, the history drop-down appears, but, due to a bug, the Search box loses the focus. The user can’t type in it; they have to re-click.

Not always, though: as I said, not the very first time after launching Deezer, and sometimes after it’s OK, too.

You must also click on the Search box to close that annoying history drop-down.

I have the feeling the Windows app isn’t really maintained. Of all the bugs reported so far, only one was fixed (in about one year).

Hi @mischiew

Have you tried to delete the recent searches to see if it stays the same as you are mentioning or something changes?

If I delete the recent searches, the problem momentarily disappears, but as soon as I search something, that history comes back.

Note that the bug doesn’t show on the browser version, so it’s something that differs in the framework you’re using for the Windows app. From the blurred fonts, I suppose you’re using Electron, correct?
