Question

MP3 tags do not appear on playlists

I'm experiencing the following issue with Deezer in a web browser. I was able to reproduce it in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge, all on Windows. I contacted support, but the chatbot keeps insisting it's a cookie-related issue. Can anyone else reproduce this?

  • I open the Deezer website.

  • I go to the "My MP3s" page: the artist names are displayed for every track.

  • I open a playlist that contains one of my MP3s: the artist name is missing for that track.

  • I go back to the "My MP3s" page: the artist name is now also missing for the track that appears in the playlist I just viewed.

  • I refresh the page with F5: the artist name appears again on the "My MP3s" page.

Hi @Mário Marinato Thank you for reporting this and for providing such a detailed description of the issue - it really helps!
This is a known limitation with personal MP3 uploads. When your MP3 is displayed within a playlist on the web player, our system may not always be able to read the artist name depending on how the MP3 file is formatted. The "My MP3s" page reloads this information directly each time, which is why refreshing with F5 restores it there.
Unfortunately, we're not able to modify the metadata of personal MP3 files from our end. However, if the track is available in the Deezer catalogue, I'd recommend replacing it in your playlist with the Deezer version - this would ensure the artist name and other information display correctly at all times.
Apologies for the inconvenience
