issues with google speakers

I’ve seen a few discussions on Deezer’s connectivity issues with Google Home speakers (nest, home, nest mini, etc) from years ago, and I want to share my current experience in 2026. I am able to link my deezer account to google just fine, but when it comes to playback, here are some of the issues I’ve encountered:

• deezer disconnects from casting after leaving the app, (though music keeps playing, when it comes to reconnecting to further control the stream, it bugs out)
• when reconnecting, it often restarts the playlist/queue
• when selecting a song to play once connected to the stream, it often chooses a totally different song in the playlist/queue
• often stops playing music on google stream randomly
• when adding a playlist to the google automations (ex: “hey google, play this playlist on deezer”) google finds a completely different playlist to play. i realize this may be a google home issue, but worth mentioning, as i have had better luck previously with spotify.
