Garmin Connect IQ app has not been syncing for months

Hi,

The Deezer Garmin app available on the Connect IQ store is currently not syncing. It took me a while to be able to login, since it wasn’t working at all a couple days ago. Now it seems okay. However, it’s impossible to add songs to the watch as it says “Some content could not be downloaded” after a couple of seconds of syncing.

I tried on my Forerunner 965 and my old Forerunner 245 Music.

A quick look at the reviews on Connect IQ indicates that most users have been experiencing this issue since June. Is this app abandoned? I cannot imagine why this issue would be ignored for so long otherwise.

So, is there any fix coming or any workaround in the meantime?

Thanks.

Hi @Jeffs24 👋

Some users were able to make it work by deleting the app and downloading it again… Have you tried it?

Let us know how it goes, please

I tried everything honestly. Reinstalling the app, changing the wifi, creating another account.

I managed to make it work for two playlist, but I have idea how. I tried with old and new playlists. Some with hundreds of songs, some with a single song. Nothing works. Except for these two that worked a single time. I tried adding new songs to these playlist and update them, but I get an error.

Judging by the one star reviews that keep appearing on the Connect IQ store, the app has actual problems that need a fix other than “have you tried turning it on and off again”.

Hi @Jeffs24 have you tried the following:
Restart both your phone and Garmin device> ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, and re-pair the device with the Garmin Connect app.
If the issue continues: delete and reinstall the Connect IQ app> check for software updates for both your device and the Connect IQ app> ensure the Garmin Connect app itself is up to date
If the problem persists, please contact Garmin Support too.
Thanks

I just wanted to say how unhelpful this answer is. There is countless people telling you that the app doesn’t work now. You even know the exact version number where something broke. Telling me to contact Garmin support is just ridiculous. But maybe I will contact Garmin support, with the slim chance that your app will be flagged as abandoned and defective and it forces you to actively do something instead of trying to gaslight your user base.

It’s been 3 months, the app has been unusable for most users for almost a year now. Is there any official word about this?

Hi - still broken btw.  All trouble shooting steps followed and it still fails to sync. Any plans to at least try and fix this?

Could you please update  Garmin version 5.24. and let me know if that works for you?
Thanks

The same here, everything up to date, restarted, reinstalled and so on… Watch firmware v. 6.38. Any news about the fix?
