Deezer on AAOS - Polestar 2

Hi all,

So I installed Deezer in my Polestar 2 Launch Edition (MY21) , it has the latest software and somehow when installing all works fine. Then the next time I enter the vehicle, I put on a song and music stops playing right at the end. Usually like 1 second before. It will not go to the next.

If I delete the app and reinstall, it will work again.. for that trip. Also, if I engage loop (for playlist or 1 particular song) it will stop working the moment I put it on. That particular song that’s playing will stop before the end and not go to the next one nor replay. At that point, forwarding songs and such also stops working.

To conclude, even though Deezer is supported on AAOS now, it just won’t work on my vehicle.. Can anyone help or maybe a developer look into this particular issue?

Kind regards,

Mauro

hey there @Mauro de Milliano

I also have an AAOS-equipped car and have been using the deezer app since its rollout without issue. I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Restarting the center display. A restart may also fix the problem if you are experiencing issues with e.g. Bluetooth, navigation or connectivity.

To restart the center display, press and hold the Home button below the display for 20 seconds. The screen will first go into cleaning mode. Continue to hold the button until the display turns off and then restarts showing the Polestar logo.

This procedure might need to be performed more than once to be effective.

Once complete, immediately restart the car's connectivity module (TCAM).

Press and hold the iCup-23w17-Max defroster symbol button for approximately 20 seconds. Keep it pressed until the SOS button in the roof starts to flash.

Release the iCup-23w17-Max defroster symbol button.

If you want to turn off the defroster function, press the iCup-23w17-Max defroster symbol button one more time.

Wait for approximately 2 minutes.

The connectivity module (TCAM) has been restarted and the connection should be restored.

Best of luck.

Thank you, I will try this and update the results.

@GropplerZorn Hi there,

I just tried everything you said, couple of times even and still same story. I think it's not working on my car.. even though I'm on update P2.13.3 ... :-/

Software 2.13.1 should be the current version, although that was probably just a typo on your part.

I would also double check that all of your apps are updated, including your Play Store app. And make certain everything is in order with your deezer account.

After that, not sure what to tell you, everyone online seems to be having success with it, maybe it’s a connectivity issue with your particular car.

I think I managed to fix it by disabling the following.. (see attached file) , somehow now the car will just function well.. odd

Though I had to delete the app again on the car and reinstall it and log on after I had disabled this function.. Somehow it takes some of the settings from the phone with itself when you log into your account on the car? Anyhow, it seems fixed, not 100% sure yet but will keep this post updated in a few days.
