I also switched to Deezer a few weeks ago just to find out that for Chromecast there is:
- no queue functionality, not even adding songs
- shuffle function no longer available once you cast
- lossless playback not functioning even though you can choose it in settings, as other users found out
- Volume normalization probably also not working on Chromecast as it differs a lot to me (but that could be subjective)
- cant really use another device on my amp since Deezer Connect has apparently been killed
I am really really disappointed that this basic functionality has not been taken care of. Meanwhile Spotify added lossless and Qobuz now has Qobuz Connect...

I agree. This is basic feature. Adding tracks, remove tracks from queue, rearranging the queue... Especially when listening at home, on streaming speakers, having guests over.
Sorry Deezer guys, but what streaming app are you secretly using? Tidal or Spotify?

I wanted to use Deezer as a Spotify replacement. Even informed my friend that we switch the Spotify Duo account to Deezer, because I liked Deezer after some testing.
Now I must notice that a important and basic feature like the queue does not work properly. When I cast music to a device there is simply no "add to queue".
That a basic feature as this is missing is weird. But I see in the "Deezer lab" new features like "adjustable playback speed" is hot. That is frankly said, embarrassing for whoever is responsible. Basic features missing, but niche features get development time.
So the search for a Spotify alternative continues

They can’t. Or at least they failed to fix them for over 5 years now or so, so I won’t expect this to be fixed in the next 5 years.
You’re not far off when you said it won’t be fixed in next 5 years .
Still waiting and still can’t move to deezer until this is sorted. Know it’s not much and no one at deezer will care as I’d only be one subscriber but it’s about 4 years of family plan payment they’ve missed out on from me

I think this is more a fix than a feature. We should have the same experience regardless we are using Bluetooth, Chromecast, AirPlay or not.

This really is a dealbreaker when having friends over and listening to music on Chromecast. Will be moving over to Spotify sadly who support Chromecast properly.

I honestly thought the app was bugging when I didn't see these two options in the menu.
I've found CC support to be lacklustre in certain other competitors but this a new low.

Apologies for the experience you've been having. Yes, we have our new Chromecast integration ready and working but play next and add to queue are still features we need to develop for it. I'm unable to give you a timescale but I assure you that your feedback will add priority to their development. I say this because I know our focus for the end of this year and 2021 is to get all these integrations with other devices to work better and do more

It should be basic feature. Actually, it is a deal breaker for me, as I use Chromecast all the time, and Deezer doesn't seem to support Chromecast that well.

I know I’ve complained a lot about Deezer so here’s some praise I’ve possibly just found one feature that will keep me on Deezer . Just found out I can sync music to my fitbit and not need to take my phone out running. Never realized that was possible on a fitbit to do.

Completely understand if it’s not been prioritised but reading through this this is something that's been asked for going back years and every other music streaming service that can be linked with google home is capable of doing this so someone who has some pull at Deezer must see on here the people asking for this function and be able to get the app developer to make the minor changes needed for this to work
Will keep an eye on it and hope you can surprise me (if you can will be straight on for family hifi ) but not expecting anything to be done about it anytime soon
