Using Deezer on Android. When Chromecasting I cannot select 'play next' or 'add to queue' for songs. The options are greyed out. They work fine if I stop casting. I've seen similar posts going back months on here and can't believe this basic functionality hasn't been sorted out.

I also would like this feature to be added. The lacking functionality when casting to a chromecast device is very disappointing.

It is indeed @kmokma we've planned improvements for the integration this year. Please stay tuned to the community for updates and in the meantime, thank you for registering your support :relaxed:

I hope you get the integration working soon because I agree with  the many  others who say „insert to queue“ and „play next“ are key features that should be available on all devices. I‘m nearly craving for those features coming to the streaming chromecast possibility ;)

Sure thing @Ich Nicht

I'll pass your comment on

In another thread, @Rudi told us that the Chromecast support will remain broken until further notice and that they apparently lack the skills to fix this within 3 or 4 years as this issue was raised over 2 ears ago.

I'm in the same situation as others on this post, just trialling out Deezer to move away from Spotify but this is a deal breaker.  Otherwise was looking good

We have a family subscription, so I can’t switch unless everybody agrees.

I guess I’m stuck here :(

Apologies for your experience @MrHaroldA @Isaac McNaughton add the moment we're unable to prioritise this just because we're working on other major projects which may as well affect you positively!

The only way is to add to the queue before you cast, as the queue list will be saved. Once more, sorry for this and thank you for your support :pray_tone2:

Just switched to Deezer yesterday and encountered this problem too. Using a Pixel 3 on Android 11 and casting to a pair of Nest Audio speakers. There are so many issues that pop up when doing so: Play Next and Add to Queue are gone. The widget disappears from my homescreen and it’s gone from the drawer.

Please fix these issues.

...
Please fix these issues.

They can’t. Or at least they failed to fix them for over 5 years now or so, so I won’t expect this to be fixed in the next 5 years.

That's a dark outlook on what we can do with Google @MrHaroldA but I totally understand your frustration, you've got a point.

At the end of the day, the feedback reaches the teams working on improving the feature.

You need to set up your queue before you cast @Jens684 queuing once casting hasn't been developed yet.

Thank you both for your honest feedback and support!

Just to add my voice, this too is a deal breaker for me.  I am on a  hifi trial.

Casting to Humax Aura (Android Freeveiw box) with built in chromecast, from Samsung S6Lite (Android11) is a solution I have been searching for to get flac into my AVR.  But an inability to "Play Next" or otherwise manage the play queue is a deal breaker.

Thanks for registering your feedback here @McT super valuable! Also understand the frustration, it's getting a lot of traction these days.

I'll let you know if this gets prioritised :relaxed:

Agree with this. Pretty crucial functionality to not have.

Thanks for the feedback @squire23

Why should we vote? It’s marked as “not for now”, so it won’t appear in any list on the idea page.

The status can change if more votes are added @MrHaroldA - that's the point :relaxed:

Just started a Hifi trial to get away from the dumpster fire that is YouTube music.

Audio quality is stellar, but lack of Chromecast functionality which Google Play Music already had years ago (until Google put a bullet through that one too) will be a dealbreaker for me if it's not fixed. Like so many others, I'll probably wind up on Spotify as well.

As has been said before, Deezer shouldn't be blowing the Google Home trumpets if it's not showing up with the most basic of goods.

Thanks for the feedback @Contentcontent at the moment you need to set the queue up before casting, but this is something on our radar.  As soon as we can prioritise it, we'll let you know!

Well, it's a 3 month trial and you're not getting any of my money unless it's fixed so... clock's a-ticking!

Well, fingers crossed as we'd love you to stay and enjoy Deezer @Contentcontent

Exact same here , had been absolutely loving the trial of Deezer I'm on and thought this was gonna be the one to finally replace years of Spotify until I tried to queue up some music on my Google home system and found I couldn't . Complete deal breaker and I'm a bit gutted about it as I spent ages trying the settings to see where I was going wrong and spent a bit of time transferring and setting up playlists as was ready to go all in with Deezer

Even apple music which surely must be the most unlikely Google companion ever manages to do this so it can't be that hard to integrate surely.

Thanks for the honest feedback @DP4 it isn't about complexity, it just hasn't been prioritised as you can control/edit the queue and then cast. But I totally get what you mean and I strongly believe we'll be getting this done at some point. Your comments here help us to add "pressure" to get resources allocated to the feature development. So please stay tuned to our community, no matter what kind of decision you make around streaming services :pray_tone2:

Completely understand if it’s not been prioritised  but reading through this this is something that's been asked for going back years and every other music streaming service that can be linked with google home is capable of doing this so someone who has some pull at Deezer must see on here the people asking for this function and  be able to get the app developer to  make the minor changes needed for this to work

Will keep an eye on it and hope you can surprise me (if you can will be straight on for family hifi ) but not expecting anything to be done about it anytime soon

I totally get your point @DP4 I've been pushing the feedback you mentioned during this time. It's just that the team in charge of this is actually one of the busiest teams in the whole of Deezer - we have numerous partnerships and huge projects with them involved - I'll let them know what you think :pray_tone2:
