When I connect from the Deezer app to the Chomecast in my Cambridge Audio CXNv2 streamer, the audio quality remains in the ‘wifi’ mode instead of the ‘Google Cast’ mode. Yet, if I connect to my separate Google ChromeCast Audio device, the app *does* switch correctly the streaming quality.

Why? Is the built-in Chromecast different?  I reallly would like the app to change streaming quality to Google Cast when connecting to my streamer’s Chromecast.

Could you please try to record a video so we can understand well the issue and also share the following details:

  • Model of the phone
  • OS version
  • Deezer version
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting so far? If yes, please let us know what you have done.

If you haven’t done any troubleshooting steps, start by uninstalling Deezer app and rebooting your phone, reboot your Cambridge audio and router. See if something improves.
