Are there any plans to address the known last.fm scrobbling issues?

I have no problems with scrobbling from Spotify, which I am leaving to join Deezer. Lastfm forums as far back as '09 state Deezer internal doesn't scrobble "&" correctly. And what I'm speaking of isn't sometimes. It's 100% of any title, album, or artist name with & omits that character. It would be nice to get this fixed

Such a disappointment. You tell me it's a known issue, after I already state it's a known issue. You ask me to address it, when I'm literally asking you if you are addressing it

I stuck upon a comment regarding ampersand issue left 13 YEARS ago.

It is the other way round, Deezer’s internal scrobbling option does not submit the ampersand in artist names, album and track titles. So Last.fm cannot fix this, only Deezer could. It also does not submit additional info in brackets which might be important e.g. to differentiate between versions of tracks on Deluxe Editions of albums. These issues have always been present, i.e. as long as Deezer has implemented their internal scrobbling option.

A workaround would be using external scrobbling apps for Deezer instead if they are available for your device like the Web Scrobbler browser extension or Pano Scrobbler for Android.

Another method to repair this is becoming a Last.fm Pro user, so you can edit your past wrong Deezer scrobbles in your library. As you can also enable an auto-edit feature for future scrobbles, you only have to do this once. But of course it would be better if Deezer could fix this issue.
