For some years and with different cars with Android Auto I sometimes have the problem that certain Deezer errors require me to interact with my phone. But as I am driving, this is not possible (at risk of a €400 fine in NL), so I then need to pull over the car before i can get things sorted.

Various kinds of problems I have experienced, but impossible to reproduce consistently.

E.g. cannot start a track until I open the app on the phone. After that, all is fine. I've afellong it might have to do with first being on my home wifi (when I step in) and then suddenly switching to 5G at an awkward moment.

Other times a track cuts out with an “Oops” message. Again, I must go to the phone and there I need to confirm some error dialog before I can proceed.

Other moments the app is flaky and I'd like to be able to restart it from my car controls. Again, I need to pick up my phone, force close the app, open again, reconnect AA etc.

I would like to see that Deezer would work completely headless when connected to AA (or Apple CarPlay for that matter), so that no popups on the phone can block AA operation. And perhaps a function in the setting I can reach from the car to reinitialize.

Also as an Android user I did have the same issue you mentioned first. And also living in The Netherlands I know what you mean. And also don’t want to risk it. But it’s annoying when I’m not able to stop anywhere.

I didn’t find a solution yet, hopefully Deezer wil be able to fix this.
