Amazon Fire stick with Deezer

WOW 1 year and app still does not work on Firestick or Fire Cube.  Are you guys trying to be a competing business?  If so this is a terrible job.  Every other music app seems to be working fine with the Amazon devices except Deezer.  I wanted to use Deezer because of the leaders in the industry needing competition.  This is not competition this is Halt and Catch fire scenario.  Get better.

Thanks for the feedback, @Sevad300. As you're referring to Amazon apps, it's important to bear in mind that such development involves another company and their device - it's a collaboration.

If there are any changes in terms of developing for Amazon devices (with the exception of Alexa) we'll let you know 

This is not fixed yet. Is this something at Deezer you are working on or it just lay on a queue on jobs to be done without an end in sight? 

Could you just turn the screensaver off?

Yes we could do it but we would need an option to turn it off only for Deezer. The auto sleep/ screensaver could be useful in general?

I was also wondering when you develop a Fire Stick app shouldn't it be there a flag/option to decide if the screensaver is on or off when using the app? 

I generally prefer a fix rather than a workaround, but in this case, deezer is dealing with Amazon, who likely doesn’t care about modifying their software for a comparatively minute number of users.

And for an “issue’ that’s been on the table for 3 years, I think I would just take the 15 seconds to turn off the screensaver before my listening session, or maybe just leave it off if I was using deezer through my Fire stick regularly.

Obviously, everyone has their preferences.

Is there any update on the auto sleep after 15-20 minutes, really annoying. I would prefer not to revert back to Spotify or Amazon Music?

+1  it’s between annoying and unusuable depending on the situation.  If I’m at my desk, I can keep my remote next to my keyboard (annoying).  If I’m in my house listening while doing chores, it becomes unusable.

No other application I use on the fire stick has this problem.  Netflix, Tubi, Prime Video etc don’t flip to screen saver after I don’t do anything for X minutes (because that would be ridiculous)
