I’ve raised before on the support site but trying to see if other have the same issue and if anyone has resolved.

I have Alexa Speakers (many and different types - all Amazon products) and use the defined group and everywhere  multi rooms function to play music / audio around the house.  This works fine with with Planet Radio (Free Service), Amazon Music (Prime only), Spotify (No paid service) and I tried all the suggest of re-setting Deezer and multiroom etc.  (I’ve even tried take offline older device leaving just two more up to date devices)

It used to work with Deezer no issue until ~October 2021.  Not sure exactly when it stop but now on any device when using the play music "everywhere" or play music "downstairs" (Deezer set to default music app) the display devices  show the track information but no sound is played on any device.  If I ask to play music on a single device it works no issue.

This is really irritating and so far no idea if this is single user issue or a wider problem.  I can see on here others having issue cause by certification around the same time but that appears to have stop Deezer working on single devices.

We are having issues with some Alexa models,

could you please try and connect to them individually to see which ones are working and which ones are not?

Every device works individually - e.g play music {deezer} etc works fine on all of the devices as standalone.

This includes working on Echo Show (1st Gen), Echo Show (2nd Gen), Echo Show 5, Echo  (First Generation)
Echo Dot (2nd Generation)

I have tried setting up a group with only two devices for example the Echo Show 2nd Gen and Echo show 5 (As the two latest on their own group and that doesn't work) and other combinations of two devices .. none work.  But those with the display show the track  and after about a minute times out - and nothing is played.

We have a new version of our skill in the work but it's currently on hold on Amazon's side.
As a result we won't be able to provide any fix or improvements to our skill as long as the migration to the new version isn't done. 

Probably the new skill won’t have this problem.

Im having the exact same issue.

Before october 2021 multi room worked fine.

For the last 6 months, its been quiet - the song appears on the screen but does not play. I tried everything.

 

When will this fix be implemented?

I am a paying customer and these problems do not occur on Tune in or other music streaming providers.

6 months.

 

Please, pretty please, resolve as soon as possible.

Contact Amazon, do whatever is necessary.
