The world's most important music awards ceremony is back!

From Beyoncé to Chappell Roan, our Spanish superuser @Anbal took a closer look at the whole thing

Here we are again! The 67th Annual Grammy Awards are fast approaching, bringing both surprises and some predictable nominations. The prestigious event, which celebrates the most important achievements in global music, will take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

On Friday, November 8, the Recording Academy announced the nominees for this year’s Grammys. Since its inception in 1959, the Academy has recognized musical excellence across all genres at its star-studded gala, featuring unforgettable performances, notable guests, and unexpected twists. While the number of categories has grown over the years, the 94 categories from the 2024 ceremony will remain in place for 2025.

However, there have been some adjustments to the rules in certain categories, including Ensemble Music, Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best Traditional R&B Performance, among others. The nominees and eventual winners are chosen by a committee of active artists who go through two rounds of voting: first to select the nominees from submitted entries, and then to determine the final winners.

These are the 2025 Grammy Nominations in the Four Major Categories

Record of the Year

Album of the Year

Song of the Year

Best New Artist

My best discovery on 2024 by far.

Victor Ray is one to keep an eye on too 👀

The nominations are amazing, right?

For Record of the Year, I’m rooting for Now and Then by The Beatles — it’s iconic!

In Album of the Year, Beyoncé is incredible, but Jacob Collier also nailed it.

For Song of the Year, my bet is on Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish, but Gaga and Bruno Mars are strong contenders too.

As for Best New Artist, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are my favorites!
