EDM is a vibrant, ever-evolving genre born from the underground rave scenes of the ’80s and ’90s. Now a global powerhouse, it fuels festivals, clubs, and modern music culture with its endless sub-genres and unforgettable energy.

With such a massive catalog of anthems to choose from, narrowing it down to just 10 is no easy task. But we've taken on the challenge — here’s our curated list of the Top 10 EDM Tracks of All Time, blending influence, popularity, and timeless appeal.

1. Avicii – Levels (2011)

Levels wasn't just a song; it was a movement. With its uplifting melody and Etta James sample, this track catapulted Avicii to superstardom and helped usher EDM into the mainstream.

2. Swedish House Mafia – Don’t You Worry Child (2012)

A powerful blend of emotion and energy, this Don’t you Worry Child was a global hit and a fitting farewell to one of EDM’s most beloved supergroups…at least until their reunion in 2018.

3. Tiesto – Adagio for Strings (2005)

A trance reimagining of Samuel Barber’s classical piece, Tiësto’s Adagio for Strings is a dance floor classic. Its stunning buildup entranced the entire dance floor, with everyone yearning for that aggressive, bass-heavy drop..

4. Deadmau5 – Strobe (2009)

This masterpiece in slow-building tension and release, Strobe is an emotional journey that proves EDM can be just as introspective as it is explosive.

5. Darude – Sandstorm (1999)

Love it or meme it, there’s no denying Sandstorm is one of the most recognizable EDM tracks ever. It’s fast, relentless, unforgettable and guaranteed to fill the dancefloor.

6. Robert Miles – Children (1995)

A pioneering track in the dream trance genre, Children combined a haunting piano melody with a smooth trance rhythm that made it accessible to a broader audience beyond hardcore clubbers. The result? A massive international hit, loved by all.

7. Public Domain – Operation Blade (2000)

Operation Blade soared in popularity after its unforgettable appearance in the movie Blade. Capturing the gritty edge of early 2000s club culture by combining techno and trance, the result was a club classic that hit harder than Tony Stark’s snap.

Its pounding beat and aggressive synths made it a staple in raves and clubs alike, an underground anthem that went mainstream without losing its bite.

8. SNAP! – Rhythm is a Dancer (1992)

An early (dare we say the) 90s dancefloor anthem, Rhythm is a Dancer merged synth-heavy production with powerful vocals and a memorable hook. It helped define the sound of early EDM and remains a nostalgic staple at parties and festivals to this very day.

9. Delerium – Silence ft. Sarah McLachlan (1997)

Originally a chillout track, it was the Tiësto remix that transformed Silence into a trance anthem. The ethereal vocals by Sarah McLachlan, paired with uplifting production, created one of the most spiritual and beloved tracks in trance history.

10. Daft Punk – One More Time (2000)

It’s Daft Punk, do we really need to say more? Arguably the most well-known track from their Discovery album, One More Time helped bridge electronic music and pop genres. Though the duo ended their 28-year run in 2021, One More Time, like the rest music, will continue to be loved for years to come.

Honorable Mentions:

While these didn’t make our top 10, we couldn’t leave them out entirely

These tracks represent more than just beats and drops — they are time capsules of moments when dance music united us under lasers, strobe lights, and the open sky.

Whether you’re a raver, a bedroom DJ, or just someone who loves a good drop, these songs are essential listening.
