Megan Moroney, one of country music’s rising stars, just hit a big milestone with her single “6 Months Later.” Dropped on June 20, 2025, the song debuted at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it her highest-charting entry yet. Written by Megan alongside Ben Williams, David “Messy” Mescon, and Rob Hatch, and produced by Kristian Bush, the track takes a playful, sassy spin on heartbreak with a super catchy melody.

The lyrics of “6 Months Later” tell the story of someone who bounces back stronger and more confident after a breakup. With lines like “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and blonder and hotter,” Megan turns heartbreak into empowerment. The music video, co-directed by her and Cece Dawson, is a clever little story where Megan plays a customer service rep getting creative revenge on her ex.

This success comes after her second album, Am I Okay?, dropped in July 2024 and debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. Megan has already racked up awards like New Female Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards and New Artist of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards. On top of that, her single “Am I Okay?” hit No. 1 on country radio, solidifying her place in the industry.

Right now, Megan is out on her Am I Okay? tour, which runs through October 12, 2025. She’s hitting iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Greek Theatre in LA. Plus, she’s teased that her next album is already “80% written” and promises an even lighter, more upbeat sound.

And you? Have you discovered any new music of her recently?
