 ℹ️AI-generated content

While some listeners enjoy the AI music, other people often dislike AI songs because they feel the music lacks genuine emotion, soul, and lived human experience.

Some AI-generated songs are appearing on well-known charts because they are gaining high streaming numbers on platforms, and listeners often cannot distinguish them from human-made music.

The first entirely AI-generated artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts is Breaking Rust, an AI country act that topped the Country Digital Song Sales chart with "Walk My Walk"

Here are some of the most popular AI-generated artists :

#1 Xania Monet

Xania Monet is a historic and controversial artificial intelligence R&B music project created by Mississippi poet and designer Telisha "Nikki" Jones. By inputting her own original lyrics into the AI engine Suno, Jones generates chart-topping songs that have sparked a fierce debate about the future of creativity.
While the photorealistic avatar and vocals are completely synthesized, the lyrical content is entirely human.
Xania Monet made history as the first AI act to enter a US Billboard radio airplay chart, with her single "How Was I Supposed to Know?".
Her songs have successfully charted across multiple categories, including Adult R&B Airplay, Hot R&B Songs, and Hot Gospel Songs.

#2  Cain Walker

Cain Walker is not a real person, but a completely AI-generated country music artist who gained popularity in 2025 by charting on Billboard and racking up millions of streams on platforms. Known for songs like "Don't Tread On Me" and "Ain't My Problem," this virtual artist is often associated with a polished, mainstream country sound
The emergence of Cain Walker, along with fellow AI artist Breaking Rust, has caused a stir in the music industry, with some artists and listeners raising questions about the authenticity and future of country music.

#3  ingarose

IngaRose is an AI-generated music project, active since 2026, presented as a female R&B, soul, and pop vocalist created using generative AI technology. The project gained major attention in April 2026 when the single “Celebrate Me” reached Number 1 on U.S. and global charts, largely driven by viral promotion on social media platforms, sparking broader industry discussion about AI music and chart impact. The project has been linked to producer Dallas Little and is part of a wider wave of AI-generated music acts.

#4 Solomon Ray

Solomon Ray is a virtual persona and artificial intelligence (AI) gospel and soul artist created by the American conservative musician and influencer Christopher "Topher" Townsend. The character’s voice, lyrics, and image are entirely AI-generated, but the project’s unexpected success has ignited major industry debates over authenticity and the future of music.

"Ray" set a record for the most Billboard music placements for an AI artist. The tracks "Find Your Rest" and "Goodbye Temptation" peaked at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively on the Billboard Gospel Digital Song Sales chart,

#5  Enlly Blue

Enlly Blue's music production relies on artificial intelligence to generate vocals, marking it as an AI-assisted project in the soul and blues genres. The project is spearheaded by Vietnamese songwriter and producer Thong Viet Thong, who oversees the overall creation and integration of elements.
Enlly’s artist bio says that the artist is “an independent blues artist” whose music blends “acoustic music, production, recording and AI-powered creativity.”

Most popular song is “You Got This.”

#10  ChildPets Galore

ChildPets Galore is an AI-assisted music project created by songwriter Cindy Hugo, known for performing faith-based and Christian music. The project gained prominence after successfully charting on Billboard with original songs, demonstrating the growing intersection of human lyricism and generative audio.

ChildPets Galore has released music focusing on emotional, faith-based themes, including songs like "Wish I Could Visit You In Heaven" and  "The Only Thing I Can Take to Heaven"

BONUS Anna Indiana

Anna Indiana is the first musician whose entire existence — from the image and singing to the music's chord progression, key, tempo, and lyrics — is claimed to have been generated by artificial intelligence, without human involvement.
She resembles a Bratz doll, with big, anime-inspired brown eyes, a button nose and full lips. “Her” name is Anna Indiana and “she” is the product of artificial intelligence or AI — and so is the music. Anna Indiana first appeared on X (formerly Twitter) on Nov. 24, 2023.

Deezer allows fully AI-generated tracks, but they are tagged for transparency and excluded from editorial playlists and algorithmic recommendations.
If you want to know if specific artists in your library are actually bots or if you want to scan a playlist, you can use Deezer's Free AI Music Detector

Setting aside the issue of artists and music creators not getting paid when their material is used to train the AI, and that's something they need to resolve, just like with piracy and illegal downloads…

For me, if the material is good and I like it, I don't care if it was created by a human, a talented chimpanzee, or an AI.

Well, I find it a bit difficult. On the one hand, I think it’s wrong that this is being done, but on the other hand, some of the music that comes out of it is actually quite good. And to be fair, creating an AI‑generated track still takes a lot of work.

In some of the examples above, you honestly can’t even tell that it’s AI.

I’ve also come across a few on Instagram where my first reaction was “wow”, only to discover afterwards that they were AI‑generated.

Here are two examples (country and melodic metal in the style of Visions of Atlantis, Kamelot).

But it also happens the other way around. In the rock genre I listen to, a band that has been around for years released a new album. It’s fantastic, top‑class AOR, but apparently the band used AI to help write the songs and polish them.

There’s still a real band performing the music live; they’ve just used AI as a tool.

Well, I asked Copilot to create a Top 25 of the most popular AI‑generated AOR and symphonic metal bands and albums. And when I went to have a look… you kind of know it’s “wrong”, but there’s an incredible amount of great stuff in there.

(It’s a bit like walking into a sweet shop, grabbing a piece of candy and eating it without paying.)

The 80’s vibe and sound! Love it!

By the very label "AI - generated music", we don't really know if the performer is a human and has music created using AI tools, or if it's all artificial - the person (who is not real ) and the music.

I think that songs which are performed by a human, and who are using AI tool as an help in creating music, should be labeled like "AI-assisted music" (not "AI - generated music").

Here is interesting facts about AI generated music :

When a human artist uses artificial intelligence to create music, it is generally referred to as AI-assisted music, artificial intelligence-generated music, or algorithmic music.

When an artificial intelligence performs or generates a song, the track is generally referred to as AI-generated music or AI music.

Fully AI-generated music is audio and lyrics created entirely by algorithms using machine learning. Tools like Suno and Udio analyze millions of human-made songs to produce highly convincing, production-ready tracks directly from text prompts.

AI music is real and widely available. Using platforms like Suno or Udio, you can generate full, studio-quality songs complete with vocals, instrumentals, and lyrics simply by typing a prompt describing the vibe, genre, and topic.

Generative AI models are trained on vast amounts of existing music. When you give it a prompt, the algorithm pulls from these patterns to compose an original track instantly. You can generate music for personal use, though commercial usage often requires paid plans.

AI music is the center of major legal and ethical debates. Major record labels have filed lawsuits against companies like Suno and Udio, alleging their models were trained on copyrighted music without compensating the original artists. Because of this, streaming platforms like Deezer have started integrating transparency features to label tracks that utilize AI, and to crack down on artificial, "bot-generated" artists flooding streaming services

AI music creation process usually falls into one of three distinct categories :

1. Purely AI-Generated (No Human Input)
This music is autonomously created by algorithms.
A user simply types a text prompt (e.g., "an upbeat 80s pop song about summer") into generative tools like Suno or Udio. The machine handles the melody, lyrics, and vocals entirely without further human intervention.
Platforms have seen a massive explosion of this type of "prompt-only" music, with sites like Deezer reporting tens of thousands of purely AI-generated tracks uploaded daily.

2. Human-Assisted AI (Hybrid Creation)
Here, artificial intelligence is used as a highly advanced creative tool.
A human producer might generate an instrumental base or a backing track using AI, but then write the lyrics themselves, sing the lead vocals, and use digital audio workstations (like Logic Pro or Ableton) to edit, mix, and master the final track.
While some listeners and musicians debate the ethics, many independent artists and major producers use AI for brainstorming arrangements or quickly laying down initial concepts.

3. Purely Human-Made (AI as Analysis/Assistance)
In this case, no AI generates the notes, but it is used in the background.
The music is written, played, and recorded entirely by human musicians. However, they may use AI-powered plugins for mastering audio, separating vocal stems, or generating promotional Album Art
This is standard practice in modern studio production, where machine learning assists humans rather than replacing them.
