The wait is over. Marvel Zombies arrives on Disney+ this September 24, 2025, as a four-part animated miniseries. What does that mean? It won't be a light version of the zombified apocalypse: expect blood, intense action, heroic madness, and that dark touch fans have been asking for 🧟‍♂️

🧨 Origin: What's this story about?

Marvel Zombies adapts an alternate timeline derived from the episode "What If... Zombies?!" (What If...? Season 1, 2021). That had been the gateway: a universe where the Avengers are infected with a zombie virus. Now that idea expands to tell a bigger, darker story with greater consequences.

The official trailer (released on September 2, 2025) already showed several moments that have the community talking:

🧟 Spoiler – Marvel Zombies Episode 1

The episode launches into chaos: the world has already fallen to the infection. There's no gentle introduction, no calm—just a devastated city with zombified Avengers patrolling like predators.

👉 First shock: Zombie Captain America appears leading a horde. His shield, bloodied and rusted, he mercilessly hurls it at the survivors. The difference is stark: there is no longer a "people's hero," just a monster with Steve Rogers' memory erased.

The survivors we know (Yelena, Kate Bishop, Shang-Chi, Kamala Khan, and Red Guardian) try to regroup. There's tension: everyone knows that if one falls, there's no salvation.

First epic confrontation:

• Zombie Scarlet Witch appears, much more powerful than expected. Her corrupted magic devastates an entire building as the heroes barely escape.
• Spider-Man (voiced by Hudson Thames, as in What If…?) saves Kate with a heroic entrance… and his first line mixes edgy humor with horror (“I always wanted to fight alongside the Avengers… not exactly like this”).
