The GTA VI Soundtrack: Here's What Leonida Sounds Like Before Launch

With just over a month to go before release (November 19, 2026), Rockstar Games has already let us hear a good chunk of what will be playing on Leonida's radio stations. Between the extended trailer on Netflix and the newly released official album, we already have a clear picture of the sonic contrast that defines GTA VI: 80s nostalgia mixed with today's most current urban scene.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album (September 17, 2026)

This is the game's first official, exclusive musical release, featuring tracks recorded specifically for the soundtrack:

• Travis Scott — "RHYNO" (produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk): a dark, electronic cut that's consistent with the experimental style Travis Scott usually brings to his collaborations.

• CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso with PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy — "Sexy Magic": a fusion of electropop and Latin sounds, designed as a festive nightclub anthem — very much in tune with Vice City's nightlife.

• Morgan Wallen — "Last Thing You Need": a country-rooted track that brings the rural/southern contrast within Leonida's map, far from the city's neon lights.

• Rauw Alejandro — "Macacoa 2000": the soundtrack's Latin/Caribbean representation, with a contemporary urban sound.

• Keith Richards — "Bright Lights, Big City": the Rolling Stones guitarist's take on this Jimmy Reed classic, whose original lyrics speak to the fascination — and danger — of a big city's lights and temptations, a fitting way to introduce Vice City.

• Yung Lean feat. Future & Metro Boomin — "That's It": modern trap with an introspective tone, blending Yung Lean's typically melancholic style with Metro Boomin's signature production.

Songs From the "Extended Look" Trailer (August 27, 2026)

The 26-minute preview streamed on Netflix revealed more than a dozen tracks, mostly classics with strong narrative weight:

What This Selection Confirms

As with every entry in the series, Rockstar doesn't pick songs at random: each track works as social commentary or emotional reinforcement for the story. The mix of southern rap, classic rock, 80s pop, and Caribbean rhythms confirms that Leonida — the game's fictional take on Florida — will have a sonic identity as diverse as its streets.

Many of these songs, along with others not yet officially confirmed (dozens more have leaked), are expected to end up as part of the game's playable radio stations.
