Academy Award® nominee Abraham Alexander is a rising singer-songwriter whose soulful blend of blues, folk, and gospel has been winning over audiences everywhere. Born in Athens, Greece to Nigerian parents and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Alexander turned to music after a football injury and personal tragedy ended his athletic career. His self-titled EP in 2019 first caught attention thanks to his emotional storytelling and powerful vocals.

In 2023, Alexander dropped his critically acclaimed debut album SEA/SONS, featuring collaborations with music legends Mavis Staples and Gary Clark Jr. The project landed on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and cemented his place among the next generation of influential American songwriters. Then in 2024, his original track “Like a Bird”, written for A24’s film Sing Sing, earned him an Academy Award® nomination for Best Original Song.
