DARA (Darina Nikolaeva Yotova) is a prominent Bulgarian pop singer who won the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) for Bulgaria with her energetic song "Bangaranga."

Born on September 9, 1998, in Varna, Bulgaria, she initially trained in traditional Bulgarian folklore music before transitioning to contemporary pop.

 She first gained national prominence in 2015 by finishing third on X Factor Bulgaria.

DARA ultimately swept the competition in Vienna due to a combination of performance excellence and unique voting dynamics.
 The song is a high-energy dance anthem that blends modern pop with traditional Bulgarian folklore roots .

She gained immense momentum during the live shows thanks to intense, flawlessly synchronized, and highly complex choreography that captivated both viewers and professionals.

DARA managed a rare feat by placing 1st in both the national juries (204 points) and the public televote (312 points), scoring a total of 516 points. This marked the first time since 2017 that the juries and the public fully agreed on the same winner.

She won with a massive 173-point lead over second-place Israel, achieving the biggest winning margin in Eurovision history.
