🤠 Carrying the Country Sound... Today I Recommend Brittany Elise | Backroad Story 👀

Brittany Elise is one of the Australian artists garnering the most attention within the new generation of country music. Originally from Queensland, she began performing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at just seven years old. Over time, she built a career that saw her become a Toyota Star Maker finalist and earn various accolades within the Australian country music scene. Following several EPs and domestic radio hits, she took a major step onto the international stage in recent years by moving to Nashville; there, she has collaborated with songwriters and industry professionals and performed at iconic venues such as the Bluebird Cafe and the Listening Room. Furthermore, her appearance at CMA Fest in 2026 marked another milestone in a career that is increasingly taking on an international dimension.

Her style is rooted in contemporary country but incorporates country-pop elements, resulting in songs that are accessible and highly melodic. A defining characteristic is her blend of a powerful voice with storytelling deeply connected to her own experiences—a quality evident in both her emotional ballads and her more upbeat, celebratory tracks. Her music aims to preserve country’s narrative roots while featuring modern production and an energy that translates exceptionally well to live performances. Earlier songs such as “We Good, Alright,” “Simple Things,” “Ghost of Tennessee,” and “Lakehouse” had already demonstrated this evolution and her ability to navigate the space between traditional country and a more contemporary sound.
