"Thriller" is a 1982 disco-pop and funk song by Michael Jackson, written by Rod Temperton, produced by Quincy Jones, and famous for its horror-themed sound effects and iconic short-film music video.
Released as the seventh single from Jackson's record-breaking 1982 album Thriller.
Includes a famous spoken-word rap and eerie voiceover performed by horror actor Vincent Price, alongside sound effects like creaking doors, thunder, and wolf howls.
Peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1984.

The Music Video

Directed by John Landis as a 14-minute cinematic short film.
Features Jackson and his date (played by Ola Ray) encountering a horde of dancing zombies in a graveyard.
Widely considered the greatest music video of all time, it doubled sales of the album and was the first music video inducted into the US National Film Registry.
