I’d like leaves an idea: put tracks with HiRes technology (192kHz, 88kHz, 96kHz…).

Useless unless you have a way to actually play back and enjoy hi res. What we really need concurrently with this is a true Deezer Connect feature. And pray Deezer does not switch to Airplay 2, unless Apple addresses the ability to stream lossless.

I was thinking about this.
First use cases are USB Audio headphones with hi-res capabilities.
I never got a clear understanding of AirPlay 2 capabilities. Apple stressed in 2017 that AirPlay 2 was capable of handling hi-res audio formats, then I guess you’d need the whole audio chain to handle these formats.
And yes if needed a proper Deezer Connect à la Spotify Connect would be great, even Qobuz did it !

Looking forward to these exciting developments.

It’s official in the App Store.
what we miss now:

  • A label that tells the bit depth and sampling of the file
  • a label that says which quality is being played
  • Wireless hi-res options (“connect”, Google Cast, AirPlay…)

Excellent! Except, can someone clue me in as to how I actually get hi res playback….perhaps is there a Connect on the horizon? And, how much of the catalogue is in fact hi res.
