Worst mobile music app ever

I’m a pretty new Deezer user and I’m about to cancel my Deezer subscription and go back to a platform that offers better applications. First I’ll say that I have enjoyed Deezer’s PC software. No issues what so ever. But the iOS app is the worst music app I have ever used, and I have used many.

I have three issues that annoys me

  • The search function is completely useless. If I want to search for an artist or a band I immediately get the page didn’t load error with the message “This content is currently unavailable due to technical error or poor internet connection. Check your connection and reload the page.”. I have tested this on different WIFI's and even my mobile internet connection, all of which have excellent service, and I still get the same error. It’s impossible to search for anything. So if I want to download something for my offline playlists I pretty much have to add it to a playlist on my computer, for example Favorite tracks and after that I can successfully download it on my phone.
  • On the home page I sometimes want to check out the “Made for you, every day” playlists, but when I click on them I just get a blank page. Every single playlist gives me a blank page.
  • Sometimes when I’m listening to my offline playlists while being out and about or hiking with my dog I open up a playlist and find a song I want to listen to, then I click the power button to lock the screen and put the phone in my pocket, and Deezer then ends up skipping to a different song. Sometimes it happens multiple times in a row. It doesn’t happen every single time, but holy shit It’s so annoying.

I’m genuinely shocked, you’d think an app that people pay a monthly fee to use would be in better shape. I have never experienced these issues with any other music app.

Anyways, I guess my question is; is there a fix for this? If I delete the app and reinstall it will it fix it permanently or will I continue to have these issues in the future?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @jxtwo86 I am sorry to hear that, because I’ve tested in all iOS devices and could not reproduce any of these errors that you mentioned.
Could you please share a video reproducing it on your side in order to help you? Assuming that you have done all troubleshooting such as clearing cache, updating to the latest version of the app 11.24.0 (11.24.0.2).
Thanks
