Regarding the issue you described, could you please confirm if your daughter cellphone is in battery-saving mode? If so, can you try turning it off and check if your problem is resolved?.
The use of VPNs or Proxy connections can interfere with the performance of the app.
Also, some antiviruses can also poorly the user experience.
