No Longer Able To Browse Playlists When in CarPlay

Anyone else have or had this problem?

Since the last app update, i have noticed that i can no longer browse a playlist or download folder when in carplay mode.

When i select a playlist or downloads from the favourites, it just plays the first track in the list. I cant view the playlist and select a track. I now have to hit the next button to move tracks and that only works sequentially.

I have deleted and reinstalled Deezer and also reset CarPlay and still got the same issue.

I use Deezer on my Android Auto daily, so far have not seen this issue. Just installed the latest Deezer release, so I will try it out in the next few days. Maybe others have this too?

Tested it in my sons car on his phone and the same issue.

Tried the phones in each other’s cars and the same so must be an issue with the latest Deezer update.

I’ll try both iOS and Android, just to be sure. I’ll let you know.

Tested in my wife’s car today via USB and the same issue on all phones.

Must be a bug in the system

I tried it yesterday and you are right. As soon as you select a playlist it starts playing from the beginning. And you can't look in the playlist to see which songs are in it. This also applies to albums. As soon as you select an album it starts playing from the beginning.

You can't look at the album or playlist and choose a specific song so that it starts there.

I never noticed it before because I always choose my favourites or an album and always choose shuffle.

What I'm wondering: Has it been possible in the past to view an album or playlist in CarPlay or Android Auto? And how do the other music streaming services do it?

Always been able to browse the playlists, whether downloaded or not. If I wanted to browse for a particular track within the playlist, I could but not now.

    That functionality has now disappeared.

This occurs in all playlists, even those downloaded.

When you open Deezer in CarPlay and select a playlist, it no longer opens up the playlist as it used to.

Now, the first song in that playlist starts to play. Even if I then go back and try to view that playlist, I can’t.

If I select a new playlist, that will just start to play the first track and not allow me to browse.

Tried 3 different iPhones in 3 different cars and all get the same issue. All other streaming services allow it and Deezer used to.

Are there others here that can confirm what both @Deano12345 and I are experiencing with CarPlay or Android Auto?

Hi @Deano12345 @awesomemac our devs are looking into it and as soon as I hear back from them I’ll let you know.
    Thanks for your patience :)

Was this possible before? Then I'll wait for an update.

I recently switched from Spotify to Deezer. So far quite happy but searching within a playlist is a absolute must for me. Tried YouTube music before and this service also didn't provide searching within a playlist. Thought I was able to search within the playlist with Deezer in the beginning but don't know for sure. What I do know is that the function has disappeared the last days. It is an absolute basic function if you ask me.

Was ALWAYS possible within CarPlay and only recently stopped working after an app update.

I am now on holiday in the USA and the issue persists out here so its definitely not a CarPlay issue.
